My 13YO’s poor urban middle school announced D&D club expecting like five kids, and 25 showed up, and they’re DMing for each other. Would they count it as reading? Maybe? But they’re sure as heck engaging w written word and imaginary worlds.

I remember a player in a bog-standard D&D setting arguing with our DM about something he didn’t like by saying “Back then, they wouldn’t blah blah,” and the DM responding, “Back then? Back in imaginary times?”

I learned recently that she was actually Blanche ap Harry, and not related to Thomas Parry, Elizabeth’s cofferer. The story goes that she taught Elizabeth to speak Welsh — is there any evidence to support that?

Maybe the meme creator was confusing Anne Boleyn with Margaret Pole, another of Henry’s victims: she got the axe, not a sword, and the executioner bungled it badly. She was in her 60s.
