Japanese investors file suit against Switzerland over Credit Suisse bonds A group of Japanese investors has taken legal action against the Swiss government following the write-down of bonds issued by Credit Suisse, which was acquired by competitor UBS. This is only the first wave of legal action, according to their law firm. The 184 investors have filed a request for arbitration with the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), as announced on Thursday by their law firm, Drew & Napier.

ICC takes custody of Libya war crimes suspect The International Criminal Court (ICC) confirmed on Monday that a Libyan war crimes suspect has been transferred from Germany to its custody in The Hague, Netherlands. The move represents a significant step in the pursuit of justice for atrocities committed in Libya. The suspect, identified as Khaled Mohamed Ali El Hishri, faces charges of murder, torture, and rape, claimed to have occurred in Libya from February 2015 to the beginning of 2020, while he was in power as a chief at a Libyan prison.
