These 3 are the same guy. I snapped on June 6, 2022. #2 on August 6,2022. #3 on July 6,2023. I take pleasure with having history with individuals and being able to identify them as friends. Yes ,I do talk to them. This guy has a calm personality. Some others are a bit more panicky.

I spotted this guy in June 2022. It's surprising the distance they can cover. I've the same individual turtle a 1/4 mile away.

This fawn makes me smile. A harsh reality is it is vulnerable to predators at this age. Same for turkeys and other young.

This plot was frost seeded in a January with Medium Red,Ladino and Crimson clovers. No herbicides here for I can't remember. There are times when I need them. But only as a last resort. She would not be here if she did not feel secure. I work 3 plots like this. Rotating plantings for succession.

We were sitting out on the patio this summer and this guy came wandering through. He surprised us & was not afraid. We had just picked tomatoes & tossed one to him. Well he ate 3. You can identify individuals by the pattern on their shell. I believe I have 5 individuals . I collect pics as I spot em

If you look closely,these are two Eastern Box Turtles making little turtles. While I was sitting quietly I heard making a lot of noise and went to investigate. (turtle porn)We have a lot of them visible in the Spring and summer. So many I have to be vigilant while mowing the lawn. I just❤️ them

I have bit of creek bottom acreage. I have been working to improve my habitat for wildlife for thirty years. I am a hunter. I grew up with some ag/livestock background. I care for these animals. My feelings are nuanced about harvesting one for consumption. I try to be a good steward for the future
