She’s like a rainbow. LCSW. Spud Queen. I’m just Sue on Tuesday.
Maybe the happiest song ever.

It’s very John Fettermanish for PA residents. I’m leery.

Madame Bovary is what I can my one ovary, the sole survivor of a hysterectomy, who was so affronted by the loss that she rose from menopause like the kraken and initiated Second Puberty. It is indeed not looking good.

Someone on the internet said “try crack cocaine before you try me.” I heard her say that too.

The loaves and Fishes episode. Epitome of zen.

I don’t disagree, but also I am less likely to remember every single detail by the end of the day. Of course, work flows and smart phrases help. The in the visit room engagement, while not sacrificing the rest of the night…. It is enticing.

Agree. Just like with transcribed visits. If you look at those notes there is like a half a page disclaimer that says “if it looks like we made a mistake, no we didn’t.”

There are truly awful programs- 100%. But transcribed dictation is also crap. The last demo I saw was really remarkable. Accurate and complete. And while I did the “visit” I sat facing the “patient” and was engaged the entire time. Some AI is shit. But with any tool, you have to pick the right one.

The machine of healthcare isn’t the patient’s fault. But providers are in a meat grinder and something has to give. Assisted documentation reduces hours of work at night which reduces burnout, which reduces errors and improves patient provider relationship.

I have seen demos where there are direct quotes as well as summaries. My own written notes also have both of those things. I have seen demos where the narrative is FAR more eloquent than I would be because I am rushed and have an hour’s worth of tasks to fit into 20 minutes.

Transcription is word for word. This is not that. I would love to just sit and talk with my patients. Make eye contact. Not be distracted by 97 check boxes that if I don’t do in the visit then I am spending *hours* at night doing notes. I hear you, but also, uncle.
