Long time no see!
In this illustration i try to put down what memories are. For me it's like the swirling warped world reflected on translucent soap bubbles, so beautiful but fragile... and transcient.

On chapter 10 now, things were building up slowly but I can tell that it's all 160 pages of calm before the storm. Coupled with how I stupidly read the forbidden definitely-not-glossary page, this dread I'm feeling is really killing me and flipping over the next page so heavy 😭

Illustrations about local tradition in Western Sumatra Island called 'Pacu Jawi', or a cow race. Everyone would gather to celebrate rice harvest, with the race held on empty ricefields. The event is filled with music, dances, and well, a lot of mud splashes!

My #inktober first week entries! I've been experimenting with custom brushes to achieve a soft pastel meets watercolor transparency look. Well, it was a messy beginning! I watched a number of plein air painters' videos to learn how they put paint on paper. It was tough but fun to learn!
