i was worried so i looked into it, and i found an interview where the main focus was on asking "why is there an ai disclosure?" and the only genAI is their TTS dialogue/callouts made from paid voice performances, with the intended use disclosed to the actors. no visual genAI or theft.

it being any different for arc raiders. youre right on it being a slippery slope but there ARE companies out there using it correctly and i think faulting them with the people who use it for wrong and evil reasons doesnt seem like a fair judgement.

i mean there have been strikes already about companies trying to force ai voices on va's, and tbh i think the arguments of "it sounds like shit" and "its morally wrong" can be true without the other and shouldn't be bundled together. finals VAs were/are paid for their voices so i don't see-

in-house ai on local servers is not world burning and voices are from real hired and paid voice actors that gave their permission to use their voices. its as ethical as it gets and the devs still care about artistic values. youre attacking the wrong users.
