Urgent call for care & support for severely disabled & chronically ill Pakistani woman Nevra is a chronically ill advocate who's been fighting for her life while raising awareness for millions with neglected illnesses across the Global South. Right now, she's in a critical condition and has almost no consistent support. We urgently need reliable volunteers who can help with light but vital tasks –– making appointment notes, analysing lab results, and drafting or sending emails to doctors. Even small. steady help (an hour a week) can make a real difference. If you have spoons to spare and want to stand beside a disabled woman who's spent years advocating for others while receiving almost none of the care she deserves–– please reach out. emergency funds needed for disabled family's transportation I feel concussed and for the past few days, l've been wanting to go to the ER because of the intensity of this flare. However, l'm quite aware that the ER cannot do anything so here l am, at home, without care from a HCA because mine is on vacation and there is no other person currently available at the agency who is cleared to work in a home with children. hi all, i just found out i’m losing my housing on aug 1. i haven’t had an income in 3 years or the ability to work. been homeless and sick before but never this sick (housebond / bedbound) at the same time. i’m slow with communicating having cognitive processing issues from mecfs + long covid. i don’t have home owning family to fall back on and i’m still fundraising past due july rent. if anyone knows a covid conscious and anti-zio place opening up in san fransisco, oakland, or berkley california, please feel free to dm.
