This is the official account of the Institute for Juvenile Research at the University of Illinois Chicago. Founded in 1909, the institute is the oldest child mental health clinic in the US and the home of American child psychiatry.
Very excited to share our recent paper that combines multiple resources from UIC to examine adolescent substance use. The study is a partnership that included IJR, UICOM Peoria, AI.Health4All Center, & UIC Institute for Health Research & Policy.

@ijr-uic.bsky.social was well represented at the AFSP’s Chicago Out of Darkness Walk. It was a beautiful day and a real sense of solidarity with so many families and supporters to prevent suicide. We were so part of the UIC Psychiatry’s Center for Depression Research team.
