I think that most of AI's most ardent opponents, myself included, would have far less of a problem with the technology's existence if only the way companies implemented it wasn't so... underhanded and forceful.

This sort of thing should be opt-in only. And I am NOT opting in.

Unfortunately, for this twist to land the way I wish for, we’d have to have A) a version of BfA with real moral ambiguity in the faction conflict, and B) a version of Anduin who makes serious, if well-intentioned, mistakes informed by his innate character traits.

Alas.

What if becoming king of Stormwind and bearing the weight of all those choices made that pain a constant presence?

What if a small part of him gave up his crown in hopes the pain would stop?

What if that very doubt, the fear that he was selfish and weak, was the reason the pain stayed?
