Experience with MOBAs, ARPGs, or MMORPGs (as a player, not necessarily as an artist) would be helpful. This is an intentionally lean project and the role is best for someone who wants to create art more than direct a team. (3/)

I don’t care about credentials. Talent (demonstrated by portfolio), desire to work hard, being pleasant to work with, and strong + good views on how the world should feel are all that matter. That said, you should be able to prove your ability to develop a compelling, coherent visual style. (2/)

“The Fisherman” by John Langan is great and an easy read.

“Wounds” by Nathan Ballingrud is maybe the most unsettling thing I’ve read. Loosely connected anthologies. Anything by Brian Evenson is also good if you like anthologies.

“Between Two Fires” by Chris Buehlman is one of my favorites ever.
