Another #Kickstarter for #GameBoy that was shipped last year was #DiveBlob by #Maithonis (not on Bluesky, it seems). The physical is another beautiful addition to my collection, but the UIP here is the PCB, allowing for a nice rumble feature in-Game!

Another Kickstarter from a while ago: #CatCatch by #n0t4numb3r (not sure they are on here yet). Any game with a cat as its protagonist is a winner in my book, but such a nice exclusive edition sure is the icing on top🧁👌

Next up is a game that I never anticipated to get an "original" copy of, but by sheer luck encountered one in the wild: 特種部隊2 基地 (or better known as Terrifying 9/11 in the West), an infamous Chinese bootleg of Metal Slug 1 on the Gameboy.

The game is clearly inspired by #VampireSurvivors and its relatives - a gameplay mechanic that has become pretty popular recently, so seeing it on a #GameBoy is somewhat fascinating. I do have to say, though, that this iteration struggles, as clear controls and visuals are key for this to work.

Last recent @limitedrungames.bsky.social delivery included #LegionOfEvil by @TTwiceGame. When preordering I did not really know what to expect of it, but their releases so far were always good quality (and my FOMO demanded it anyway), so here we go. 😅

The upgraded version #TripWorldDX adds to that in graphical fidelity as DX versions were typically known for - and far beyond what the original release would provide when put into Color-compatible hardware. Suffice to say, it looks even more beautiful in this version.

There's a reason why #TripWorld is considered one of the best games for #GameBoy and really should be part of any collection for the platform. It is beautiful, runs smoothly and sounds wonderful.

Another re-release by @limitedrungames.bsky.social was #TripWorld, one, which has gotten pretty expensive in its original release, so I was pretty happy to get this one. In this case, they also released a DX version, that - true to it's name - really shine's on a #GameBoyColor. Oh. And a plushy. 🥰
The second entry, #JurassicParkPart2, is quite different though, and seeing Dr. Grant go after his beloved Dinosaurs with a pump gun is somewhat strange. Still, pixel art, gameplay and soundtrack again are pretty awesome!

Particularly the first #JurassicPark is a game I hold very dearly in my memories. It might not be the most impressive game of all times, but it worked so well with that clear top-down view. And honestly, that chiptunes soundtrack, even if lacking the original tunes, is awesome.
