🩸 Early detection of type 1 diabetes is essential to prevent the onset of diabetic complications, including ketoacidosis.
🩸 In addition, if type 1 diabetes is caught early and disease-modifying treatments are available, we may be able to delay clinical onset of diabetes and possibly even halt it.

The recommendations build on research carried out by EDENT1FI, which is rolling out early screening programmes for type 1 diabetes across Europe, and INNODIA, which developed a clinical trial network to progress disease-modifying treatments for type 1 diabetes.
