Another birb successfully recovered in our dedicated birb box.
An adorably cute Golden Crowned Kinglet, a small yellowish gray bird with white stripes on its wings and a bright yellow stripe on its head, is nestled in a white towel with blue and gray stripes with a shoebox. It was a little stunned from flying into a window so the bird box gives it a chance to safely and warmly recover before freely flying away.

Yet another hauntingly beautiful sunset over the Georgia Strait. The water is blue with an orange tinge, the sun has just set below the horizon, and one main bank of clouds is lit up yellow and orange while wispy ones splash across the view like a careless brush stroke from a painter.

The morning is bright and full of herons.
View of the Strait of Georgia with Point Robert in the distance. The water is a rich blue while the morning sky is softer in hue. Sandbars are beginning to peek out as the tide goes out, and blue herons and white seagulls are taking full advantage of the lower waters by wading in them for a breakfast feast. There are at least 23 herons & gulls in this one view alone.

There is a large tree cast in shadow to the left side of the frame, but the focus is most definitely on the rippling water and magnificent clouds that break into clear sky before settling over the far off mountainous islands. The photo looks more like an artist who captured the scene with pastels, with intense yellow at the horizon that fades up into lighter oranges until you compare it with the periwinkle blue clouds. The underside of the clouds in the middle are glowing with a lovely shade of pinkish orange from the setting sun.
