I think last time I played was... winter 2023? 😅 I heard there was some patches along the way, so maybe it'd be the best to just start anew XD.

Alive and well (so far).
Never been dysfunctional though, they have stronger bonds and more mutual respect anyone could ever imagine.
Considered that a 100+ person community with few or non blood relatives can be still called a "family"...
"Mafia" would be better, although w/o the crime thing.

Well, they have the ability to see in total darkness, so they don't have the need to dilate the pupils. And while covered in light, pupils need to be small to avoid getting blind.
I've thought abut many physical / cultural issues for this, so now it's mostly "which one looks better" question :P.

Well, they have the ability to see in total darkness, so they don't have the need to dilate the pupils. And while covered in light, pupils need to be small to avoid getting blind.

the first argument is an approach I could totally agree with :D.
and the second one - yeah, my co-creator pointed me the same thing. And I restrained myself with the skin color here as it can have all the shades between dark gray and black.
So it could blend even more with deeper tone.

I'm slowly leaning towards C, too.

Society of those elves is strictly divided, so it's uncommon to look each other in the eyes.
They also have a variety of body language and gestures to cover for nonverbal communication.
And they live deep underground with an ability to see on total darkness.

Well, it's only one choice for the new common (and canonical) look - no sudden changes or results of magical alterations, just an eye design for a whole race :).

I got this. Exiting the comfort zone it is (well, maybe not entirely, but I do plan the background and a ton of details and that's what I'm the most scared of).
