Still time to join the Granny Life community math/art project at www.grannylifecrochet.com !

My job is assembly, so today I am learning about braided fishing wire and how to tie fishing nets. Hoping to incorporate a strong net grid into the project. It's going to weigh about 15-20 pounds!

The advent of A.I. has shocked me into questioning my relationship with art. Will humans still be able to draw for a living?

Explanatory journalism ("trade is incredibly useful", "supply chains are complex") still works best when journalists remember we are storytellers, and make a single place, a person or a thing the lens through which to get these ideas across.
This is a great piece of work by @kikollan.llaneras.es and colleagues, about all the global components that go into just one device, the new Nintendo Switch 2, and how it would probably be not just expensive but impossible to make it all in Ameirca.
