Had a great time chatting with @lucreciadalt.bsky.social for @clashmusic.com about horror movies, pop music & more. Rosalía, Bad Bunny, Kendrick Lamar, Claire Denis, Robert Eggers, David Lynch + a few jokes are in there too. Read it and check out her beautiful & dangerous new LP this Friday

When you look at Lucrecia Dalt’s music videos and the cover of her new album ‘A Danger to Ourselves’, it's abundantly clear that she’s in awe of film —

Wrote a review for @clashmusic.com about one of the best pop albums of the year. Yes, I’m saying “pop” on purpose, bc this feels like Pop 3 when so many genre trailblazers turned conventional. Eerie, witty, upbeat — @lucreciadalt.bsky.social record is built to stretch what the industry can handle.

Pop music ages really fast. I mean, you can still easily dance to Rihanna’s ‘Diamonds’ or A-ha’s ‘Take on Me’, but what once sounded radically

Wrote a review for @clashmusic.com of one of the smartest, funniest, and most uplifting albums of the year. And yes, I’m firmly convinced that @thebeaches.bsky.social "Last Girl at the Party" is the song of the summer we’ve all been searching for.
REVIEW: The Beaches new album 'No Hard Feelings' offers riveting alt-pop songwriting laced with experience and hope...

Speaking of the pros of posting on BlueSky — for example, I can brag here, completely shamelessly, that Joyce Carol Oates reposted my tweet there.

This first-in-twenty-four-years Pulp album is something else. It single-handedly saves what’s been a pretty shitty year for new music. It’s called More, and I can’t stop spinning it—I need more!

For months, switching from Twitter to here felt like pure torture—until I found the solution… just by moving the Bluesky app to the first screen of my phone. Worked like a charm!

Well, looks like this platform’s way more alive since I was last here, so why not use it to let the world know I wrote a new piece for @popmatters.bsky.social on Warhorse Studios’ latest hit, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, which is, hands down, GOTY.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II's Success Lies in Its Meme-Worthiness » PopMatters
Arguably 2025’s best RPG video game, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II's success stems largely from its humorous meme appeal.

I've been one of the top listeners of Taylor Swift on Spotify for the past few years. Thanks to my review of this album, I might just have reached the pinnacle because I've relistened to her entire discography countless times while writing it!
Taylor Swift Overcomes Breakup on The Tortured Poets Department
Taylor Swift advances the Midnights synth-based and diaristic formula, embracing increasingly sophisticated and minimalistic sonics on The Tortured Poets Department.

I've counted all the F-words in the new Taylor Swift album. In the entire 2-hour-long TTPD: The Anthology version with all its 31 tracks, this word was used 30 times.

I've painfully struggled to recall an iconic song lately. Thanks to Taylor Swift's "The Great War," with lyrics 'All that bloodshed, crimson clover / Uh-huh, the bombs were closer,' I solved it! It was 'Crimson and Clover' by Tommy James & The Shondells. Thanks for removing that annoying splinter!

It turned out that Taylor Swift recorded 31 new songs instead of 16 as we thought. She's just released a 2-hour long double album instead of... I have a lot of questions about her efficiency and productivity! How does she manage to do all that? Did she clone herself??
