100% ELCC = “perfect capacity”; Solar simply can’t be because you can’t ensure with certainty that the sun will be on when the grid needs it most (in PJM a cold, cloudy winter peak day)? (Oversimplifying on purpose). Reduces buildout because if ELCC = 100 %, COE = X, because ELCC = 8%, COE = Y?

You could try to basically explain solar as the “efficiency asset” of the electrical grid. In the same way insulation is not the heater you can turn on and off in your home, it decreases the amount the heater is on for the year and is unequivocally a good thing.

Battery ELCC (for a given duration) goes down as more penetrate the grid. This is because as more penetrate the grid, the peak shifts out and a given duration can’t support the new peak. Can only fix with longer duration

It’s because they a) 100% believed that the Epstein files should absolutely be released and b) apply a religious-style faith to him that they 100% *know* that he can’t possibly be implicated. This *should* be worldview shattering (I think this is the reason for MTG changes recently)
