I don't know where I'm going with this. I just feel like I'm walking on a tight rope, with no walls or points of reference to steady myself, exposed to cold wind and gelid fear.

My heart feels hemmed in by vacant, lonely heights.

Most of my life choices have either been following the path of least resistance or picking the least bad option from a bushel of bad options.

I've thoroughly shown that I can endure and that I run on stubbornness, spite, and an inexplicably strong survival drive.

I just wonder what it's like to thrive. To know I'm heading in the right direction. To feel I'm doing more than simply surviving.
