As in, bring everyone up to level by addressing the specific injustice forms some face now more than others, rather than sort of cutting downward by using false equivalences.
The left, if anyone, needs to avoid being “top down”, and not dilute comprehensive empathy to get a relatable point across.

Are you proposing that this tactic is there to try to erase lines of division that flow through the larger society?
I would argue that you can respectfully acknowledge the difference in experiences between segments of a population without ignoring ways that all humans have needs to be met.

The bridge to both “let’s make it about me, too” and “extend outward till it looks like the problem can’t be solved, because otherwise, I’d have to do something.”

I didn’t know, either. I’ve continued wondering how literacy is in free fall at this point. My classrooms used “hooked on phonics” materials.

How a flawed idea is teaching millions of kids to be poor readers
For decades, schools have taught children the strategies of struggling readers, using a theory about reading that cognitive scientists have repeatedly debunked. And many teachers and parents don't kno...

Granted, this is my most organized.
I won’t write in a linear way once I have this part done. I just write in where I feel it pouring out in the moment.
I also put the new subplot in a note before adding it so I don’t lose anything first.
Of course, others may have much better strategies!

I start with one document, the outline, and add all plot points into it where they roughly fit.
Next, I divide this into separate chapters and flesh out from there.
If I need to add, I go back to the outline and see where it fits, reworking around it to weave.
That way, it’s all in one place.
