A bill actively targeting the #LGBTQI community in #Türkiye is due to be submitted to the Grand National Assembly. IGLYO condemns this potential proposed change in legislation as it is a direct attack on human rights.

In this joint statement, IGLYO and 14 children's rights organisations put forward recommendations for the upcoming #EU Action Plan on #Cyberbullying to notably ensure #children have access to inclusive and age-appropriate report mechanisms and support services.

#LGBTQI youth remain largely invisible in most national #cyberbullying strategies. The forthcoming EU Action Plan against Cyberbullying offers a critical opportunity to close these gaps.

We express solidarity with our Maltese Member MGRM who protested the detainment of their community member Angoua Abdu today as the SOGIESC Conference opened amidst Pride Week in Malta.

Today, we joined 8 other orgs to deliver a petition to President @vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu‬, signed by 32,000 people, urging the EU Commission not to drop its anti-discrimination Directive. Equal rights are under attack. The EU must lead, not step back.

At the IDAHOT+ Forum, we met with Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Michael O'Flaherty, to discuss the needs of LGBTQI young people and children on topics such as health, education, hate speech or homelessness, and the role of European institutions to protect and promote their rights 🇪🇺
