Manufacturing is moved offshore to increase profits, the downside of being largely tariff free. We are a tiny, custom manufacturer the costs of running the business, rates, insurances etc have us questioning viability every year.

In the current political environment I think Macca's is silly. The USA is not respected & US companies forcing themselves on Oz communities doesn't go down well at all. Younger people are interested in this mass produced crap when there are a lot of other choices.

I was 17, it was devastating. the conservatives hated change then (still do). Maybe he did too much, too quickly but the changes he made where for everyday Australians not the elite. It was time and it is time again. Oh for the ALP to be as brave now.

At risk of stating the bleeding obvious - Amazon is hugely profitable because it is highly exploitative of everyone who is working for them. There are better choices for a lot of things.

Data centres required to run all the AI shit we don't want. All the efforts of individuals to reduce fossil fuel consumption overturned by huge tech we didn't ask for.

South Australia is not a conservative heartland. The Libs will be further eroded by trying to force these views on the public. I respect the right of people to have religious beliefs, I wish they would respect my right to disagree with them.
