Today is Homeless Persons' Memorial Day.

As unhoused people are brutalized, criminalized, and vilified nationwide—and with so much invested in obscuring the root causes of homelessness—it's important to be clear: people are homeless because they have been deprived of housing they can afford.

I thought friends grew under the ground like potatoes; no wonder I haven't found any.

Looks good on mobile; the bottom display is a little imposing but also useful. Gets in the way of being able to see any patterns though because I can only see a couple of months at a time at the top.

Would have taken everything in me not to offer to take some with him and the dog together

Hopefully they appreciate the value of doing things ethically 🤞

I fed it a photo from a drain pipe repair I did in my backyard over Thanksgiving (not art!). Claude mistook new pipe for "old corroded pipe" but also noticed the post I had wedged under the slab to prevent it from sinking. GPT was less detailed but that also prevented it from getting things wrong.

I plan to die with nothing, as a courtesy

No thanks

Ah so it is a paradoxical reason; that's something of a relief

Idk but from the name of the no no pills I have to wonder if maybe they're not a good idea? Unless they're called that for some paradoxical reason

I've long wondered if it wouldn't be possible to design a specific type of escrow that individuals could open that their federal withholding could go into until due each year - why do we have to send it to the feds along the way, we should be able to earn interest on it until it's due.

My son graduated from college but they couldn't hold graduation. We both acted disappointed about it but secretly knew that an hours long crowded event in 100° weather was the last place either of us wanted to be. The next year they said the previous year's grads could walk and he was like no thanks

So kickbacks are allowed now, as long as extortion is involved, I guess?

The turkey I cook is dry, but I prefer it that way so by being bad at cooking turkey I'm actually good at cooking turkey.

Disagree. I think pajamas should be mandatory. Slumber party > business meeting.

You know it's ai because there's no way any of those guys could get into that position, let alone hold it long enough for somebody to snap a photo.

Right? Until I was stabilized on meds at 35 I struggled to keep jobs (even ones I was good at!), blew up good and/or got into ill-advised relationships repeatedly, etc. Afterwards I finished my degree, built a career I love, bought a house, and finally learned to be okay in my own skin. night/day fr

Like so many of the things you make I've been staring at this for longer than most things in this world can hold my attention; very restful somehow

Wait, we can *do* that? I hate drinking water, but I love to be hydrated, this just sounds like an ideal solution? Sign me up.

Pdoc once put me on trazadone (I think?) for sleep because it was "safe" for me (as in, not habit-forming) but then cautioned me to be careful not to take more than prescribed because it's not the kind of overdose that can be reversed. But hey, at least I didn't enjoy it lol
