It's one thing to pirate something because you feel you need it, and feel a twinge of shame about what you're doing. But it's another thing entirely to fully rationalize what you're doing and convince yourself that it's morally right. If you're going to do crime, admit you're a criminal.

Those who remain childless by choice throughout their entire lives essentially live out a sort of Peter Pan syndrome; the so-called "man-child" and "crazy cat lady" are both manifestations of "adult children".

Children, and parents.
And until you become a parent, you're still a child. You will inevitably still think and behave as a child, and you won't understand why full adults (who have become parents) think and behave the way they do.

As soon as you're aligned with your inherent purpose in life (surviving and reproducing), the most effective (and sometimes even “objectively-correct”) philosophical view on every other moral and social issue usually starts to click into place.
