My name is Mats and I started writing horror in 2020 as a way to deal with my mum dying. I found it very cathartic. After the first book, I carried on writing. Now I mostly write Victorian Gothic horror (a la Susan Hill, Laura Purcell), but dipped my toes in medieval horror too.
