Virginia Jay Jones drama. Republicans led by a twice impeached convicted felon leveraging a dumb text message. Dems need to make a STRONG moral counter point and move forward. Their silence is golden for Republicans. RESIST!

I am amazed at the amount of “experts” trying to apply a formula or logic to the tariffs. It’s simple. The tariffs are designed so U.S. companies have no alternative but the U.S. It’s why for example tariffs are so high for smaller Asian countries where an U.S. companies may go from China.

Media fail! See interviewers asking industry “experts” the “short term pain” the Republican actions will cause. The “experts” respond it will take YEARS for the industries to adjust as the Republicans want. Is “YEARS” considered short term pain?

I’ve seen posts stating this verdict is wrong because it could empower the French far right. Yea, they should’ve done what this country did with Trump, a convicted felon who attempted a coup. It’s really worked well letting him go so he could run for office again…

There is a country with a two party Republic constitutional government. One party is strongly unified but violating the constitution and established laws. The other is not unified and caught in parallelizing internal appeasement. Which party is responsible for the constitutional crisis?

Seeing way too much overthink on why Democrats lost and are losing minority voters. It's simple, stop treating them as minority voters. Treat and approach them as AMERICAN voters. They have the same wants as everyone else, a good job, safe place to live and good life for their children.

It’s been reported the approved budget gives the cut and steal Republicans more power over the money. True! A normal Congressionally approved budget has two Acts. An appropriation act proving the money with summary details and an authorization act detailing how the money will be spent.

Factoid, while it’s being called a Continuing Resolution this is not a typical CR. Thanks to Schumer it funds the rest of this fiscal year and re-aligns and cuts funding vs 2024 levels. A CR is normally short term, aligns with previous year funding levels till a full year budget is passed.

Counter point to voting for the cut and steel Republicans budget - the Dems will take partial ownership of the destruction it causes to long successful and needed government programs. The “we have to be the adults in the room and stop a shutdown” will have repercussions from impacted Americans.

Schumer seems like a nice guy, but too reactionary and too focused on Trump, not the Cut and Steel Republicans. Too much “can you believe what Trump just said”. His Oxford look plays into the Dems being too smart for their own good.
March 14, 2025 at 2:55 PM
It's frustrating that ANY Democrat was or is considering voting for the cut and steel Republicans funding bill. This is more of the cronic Democrat's problem of not wanting to offend. Some say they don't have leverage. Really?? Voting NO is leverage.
