Saw a tip on Twitter to staple ticket stubs etc into sketchbooks to make them more interesting & it's turned what was once trash into treasured items. This book is part journal part sketch now. Whatever I need it to be in the moment 🧡

There was also a section just before the shop where you could write a message for Nightow/Orange on a little card, and place it on the wall 😭 This made me so happy... you can tell they really designed this whole experience with the fans in mind.

After reexperiencing TriStamp through storyboard and concept, we transitioned into Nightow's part of the exhibit with the Vash/Wolfwood dual designs printed reaaaaaaal big!! 😭🥹

The layout was very well-designed 😭🧡 After the intro section (above), you walked thru literally every episode of TriStamp, w/character concept art when a new face showed up
The set design mimicked the environment of each ep. Desert-y at the beginning; lanterns in Julai; etc

I've been to a couple exhibitions like this now, but this one has been my favorite by far, and I don't think it's the Trigun bias talking.
The number of tickets sold and staggered admission meant that it was never overcrowded. They also let you photograph almost every part of it

Sketching while waiting for stuff to compile has been nice lately
here's the thing. i'm not interested in being "cute", or "pretty", or "palatable". I want to sharpen my edges. to be beautiful, not like a flower, but a knife. to dredge all the horror out of my insides and smile through it like a mouthful of blood.
