Went out to see my kid at 6am because her mom told me she cut like 20 times last night. All were superficial so I made sure everyone was stable and left. Not even an hour later, her mom started with her and the argument escalated to the point where she stabbed her mom in the throat.

I feel very lonely tonight. It's getting to be that time of year - the holiday season has always been hard. I have so many people in my life that I could be with but sometimes being lonely just feels right even if it hurts. I think it's important to let yourself feel that way.

The other day someone was telling me that character backstory in tabletop games is only flavor and it made me so sad. Have you really never played with a DM who incorporated your backstory into the game?
