As one of the younger countries of the world, Canada had less time to reinforce a distinct ulture in relative isolation from other nations. Our culture seems more defined by how fluid it can be as it shares with others. Attempts to find truly unique aspects (maple syrup, etc) seem superficial.

This rings true. It is too easy to conflate an angry partisan group with a wealthy person or organization directly funding information streams designed to further anger that group

I'm not normally superstitious, but predicting an early call feels like tempting the fates, setup for a Greek tragedy

Great point. I guess I'm wondering if a state of emergency enables their use of legal actions that can be used punatively against us, further than shutting off energy to each other.

Yes, sorry for lack of clarity

Would cutting off power to N. Maine allow justification for calling a state of emergency? And if so, what powers would that enable them to use?

Burritos? I will cook rice, beans, corn, whatever else for veggies I have on Sunday. It makes way too much, so it's my repeat lunch for the week

I was interested a few years ago but didn't have money available. I recall at the time installers offered one free reinstall when it was time to reshingle my 10yr old roof. Now that I do have the money, installers tell me to reshingle or replace with steel roof first.

It's a great tool, thanks for your efforts. It highlighted our increase as being double the rest of the neighborhood, so we'll definitely be challenging the assessment
