5/ Developers: We know re-architecting these programs takes effort, but in 2024, there are no excuses for excluding entire operating systems. We’re all here to map the same water; let’s build tools that work for everyone.

4/ Supporting macOS and Linux isn’t just about convenience—it’s about inclusion. Professionals in hydrography (and many other fields) shouldn’t be forced to buy new hardware just to use essential tools. #techstruggles

3/ So why hasn’t hydrography software caught up? Partly because these industries often rely on legacy systems, and updating the architecture is expensive and time-consuming. But as demand for cross-platform compatibility grows, so does the need to modernize.
