Agreed. On the other hand, I've seen some horrendous UI choices for some microwaves with buttons labelled with icons that made little to no sense, piercing blue display and beeps so loud you're guaranteed to wake up the whole house. It somehow seems like we can't figure out a good UI for these.

Yeah, at the end of the day it's not everything about the numbers.
