On Sunday, for one evening only…Newcastle was Euro Country, CMAT was our Queen, anything could happen and everything felt possible. A phenomenal performance. Love, love, love her.

Dallying in the Dales #Yorkshire
Me, standing amidst wild garlic and wildflowers. Willow(tri-colour border collie) is doing a magnificent ‘sit’ on my left. Hamish (black and white border collie collie) emerging from a stream onto a stony and sandy bank. The far bank is visible and overgrown with glorious green things. A fantastic bottle of French wine which has been decanted into a fancy crystal decanter by a very kind sommelier. Willow (tri-colour border collie) curled up in her bed with her favourite cuddly giraffe. She has walked many miles.

Super larks today on the old Tees Railway line from Romaldkirk to Cotherstone (there and back again).
A grassy pathway with bare trees either side. Hamish (black and white border collie) lies in the foreground on the right, very proud of the stick he has found. Willow (tricolour collie) is sniffing around on the left hand side with her back to the camera. Willow (tricolour border collie) is coming down some wooden stairs which have been dug into a strep, grassy verge at the side of the footpath. At the top of the stairs is a wooden gate. Hamish (black and white border collie) stands side on to the camera, in the middle distance. He has a stick in his mouth. He is on a muddy footpath with grass verges and bare trees on either side. Superb eating at James Close’s Terra (Rockliffe Hall) yesterday evening. Their current French Bistro menu is nothing short of a triumph. Steak tartare, bouillabaisse (with halibut & lobster), choux with hazelnut ice cream and warm chocolate sauce. A great red. Limitless sourdough. Yes.
