We’re a small team of art-lovers and artists who hope to inspire artists with concepts for stories, films, etc. worthy of the diversity of talent & teachings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
CONCEPT: As the Nephites had such great knowledge of the coming of the Savior that they wrote the names Jesus and Mary 100s of years before his birth, perhaps his birth was celebrated among the early Nephites? A writer or painter could explore what pre-Christ Christmas looked like in the Americas.

STORY IDEA: An inversion of the Parable of the Prodigal Son. An abusive, cruel father evicts his son from his home, deprives him of his possessions, and defames him to all the world. Then, suddenly, he says he wants his son back home. The son forgives him and holds a feast.

PLAY CONCEPT: A play that traces a young boy's preparations for baptism, starting with a Book of Mormon given as a seventh birthday gift, through to his preparations, interview, and finally baptism and confirmation. Having a young actor perform this would be a challenge but also quite powerful!

FILM CONCEPT: A historical film inspired by the creation of the standard plans for the modern Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints meetinghouses and stake centers, either about the 1981 design and announcement of the "Sage" plan or the current "Granger" models.

VIDEOGAME IDEA: "Zenos of Zarahemla: Private Eye." The year is 42 BC. A scrappy Nephite detective named Zenos takes a minor case. Control Zenos as his search for a missing family heirloom leads to the uncovering of a conspiracy by Gadianton robbers to assassinate Chief Judge Helaman.

HISTORICAL FICTION CONCEPT: An epistolary novel set around 520 BC, in which Enos, Nephi's nephew, and Malachi, the last Old Testament prophet, both young boys, send letters in bottles across the ocean to one another. Two young prophets-to-be sharing stories about life and faith as children.

FILM CONCEPT: A Pixar-style animated feature about the Miracle of the Gulls from the gulls' perspective. The gulls could be given distinct and funny personalities.

Perhaps the gulls could have a story that's an allegory for the actual Miracle of the Gulls! Could be interesting!

FILM CONCEPT: A group of young men and young women on trek get separated from their stake and find themselves back in the fall of 1856 with the Willie handcart company.

STORY CONCEPT: In 3 Nephi 16:1, Christ says that He has "other sheep, which are not of this land." It is often thought that He did indeed visit other peoples elsewhere in the world after the Nephites. It might be interesting to imagine what His visit to another ancient culture might have been like.

ART INSTALLATION IDEA: A massive set of sculptures in the style of Qin Shi Huang's Terracotta Army, but representing Helaman and each of his 2,000 stripling warriors. Different artists could contribute sculptures, or each could represent a latter-day prophet or apostle!

PLAY CONCEPT: A dramatization of the vision received by Joseph Smith and Sidney Rigdon in Hiram, Ohio, in Doctrine & Covenants 76. The two young Church leaders receive earth-shattering truths about the degrees of glory. It would be fascinating to see how a dramatist could stage this!

FILM CONCEPT: The testimony of Abinadi before King Noah and his priests, filmed as an homage to Carl Theodor Dreyer's powerful 1928 classic "The Passion of Joan of Arc."
