Another 4-1 league with Naya Initiative. Only loss was to a big Legacy podcaster, and I gave them their 6th trophy of the season, so I ain't event mad about it. 😏

Another 4-1 league with Naya Initiative. Only loss was to a big Legacy podcaster, and I gave them their 6th trophy of the season, so I ain't event mad about it. 😏

While everyone was gaga over Belcher winning the Pro Tour, no one was paying attention to this SUPER SICK River list that won a Challenge. It has Yorion in the board that can't even be cast!!! This list is absolutely wild!! I can't wait to give it a spin.

Another River 4-1! The Monored Prison deck was actually the old-style deck that played Karn, Chandra (4 and 6 drop), Trinisphere, etc. maindeck. Used to seeing the hyper aggressive Stompy version these days, so it was cool to see again.

Today's River league results: 3-2. Continue to put up a positive results with the deck online. Over 600 matches with an overall 57% win rate. Pretty good for this jank, I must say.

I have been giving heavy consideration to cutting the Mindbreak Traps. They're just not relevant anymore and they find their way to interrupt my combo. Thinking about Foundation Breakers to replace them.

Another River 4-1. "Cat's Cradle" is the version of Cradle Control that plays Scythecat Cub, if anyone was wondering. I've always found the name "Cradle Control" to not be a very good name for the archetype overall.

I've played 3 River leagues over the last 24 hours and totally forgot to post my records. I went 3-2 in each of the leagues though, so it feels good to come back to playing River after about a month of Initiative to still have a positive win rate.

The graveyard deck was like... tempo-ish? Cantrips, Force, Bloodghast, Sneaky Snacker, and Tamiyo. No Daze or Wasteland that I saw. Scooped a game to a Tamiyo Ult. Weird, but always cool to see people trying things.

First River league post-MagicCon Vegas. The Yorion deck really confused me. No clue what was going on there. Saw an amalgamation of cards, but the player seems to have trophied multiple times with similar lists. The game I lost, I wheeled them into a T3feri.
