Just in time for the final days of the map-themed exhibition, I traveled to Rejmyre to give an artist talk. These are my “future islands”, submerged landmasses resting on the floor of the Arctic Ocean, based on data collected by Oden’s multibeam sonar.

Working on a drawing based on deep-sea mappings of the Molloy Ridge – an area that we traversed during the polar expedition with Oden in 2023. Together with Jon Brandt, I have envisioned this dramatic underwater landscape as future islands. A mountain peak now resting far below the water's surface.

Artist of Melt (Arvinius+Orfeus) chronicles my Arctic journey. Aboard the icebreaker Oden in Spring 2023, I painted daily for 40 days, capturing life on the ice – researchers’ work, crew routines, and the Arctic landscape. Each page offers a glimpse into this frozen, timeless world. #artbook
