Just…holes in the walls and floors.

People ask why I look into who lived in my house. Well, if I had been more thorough in reading the histories…then I would’ve known I was digging into an adobe wall. Gotta find a new location for an upstairs return air vent.

There is now a door. Just working on leveling everything out. Had hoped to wrap up plaster/texture this week but there is now discussion of adding a return air vent to the upstairs. So…more holes.

Old houses seem to be a game of f around and find out. The plan was just update some trim and paint. Two days later we’re demoing a hearth and framing a new door.

Cleaning the window workshop and realizing how many more windows I need to glaze this winter.

I think we can call the sitting room complete.

Nothing motivates quite like people coming over tomorrow…

Hopefully this picture helps. I built a valance box to hide the curtains behind the crown molding and hung the IKEA Vidga track on the ceiling.

Today’s goal…paint the doors, touch up paint and call this room done.

One newly glazed window…only like 30 to go.
