Yuureitou/The Ghost Tower a Seinen mystery horror manga by Taro Nogizaka. One of the main characters, Tetsuo is trans. It takes place in 1950s Japan. The basic gist of it is that Tetsuo and Taichi are on a treasure hunt in a ghost tower. Research the content warning because it can be quite gruesome.

Assassination Classroom if you haven't watched it yet. I also really like Yu Yu Hakusho. Both have great English dubs, and while they are both action series, they both have very different vibes. I'm leaving the the research to you if you don't mind.
