While 120+ countries joined past OECD tax negotiations, “80 or 90 were effectively excluded” - Egypt's Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk said at #G-24 event #WBGMeetings. The new #UNTaxConvention, he noted, will help close that gap — with stronger capacity, inclusion & equal participation.

At #WBGMeetings, Chile’s Finance Minister, Nicolás Grau Veloso, noted that 2% of new public revenues now come mainly from the wealthy — including a copper royalty raising $2 billion.

At #WBGMeetings, Carlos Cuerpo, Spain's Minister of Economy, Trade and Enterprise called his country “a success story — period.”

He noted that taxing 12,000 individuals with assets above €3M has supported growth and fairness, proving wealth taxes can work.
