Yesterday our statisticians had a team meeting where they discussed some controversial topics in statistics. To celebrate Thanksgiving some of our statisticians from the USA brought in pecan pie and cornbread to share in the meeting.

Our Sustainability Project Manager, Jessica Griffiths, attended the Conference on Research Outcomes in Environmental Sustainability jointly run by the Medical Research Council @nihr.bsky.social, and Greener NHS yesterday to present our poster on Greener Trials. #GreenSky 🧪

INTERACT is exploring who took part in recent cancer clinical trials to find out whether anyone was less likely to be included.

At #ESTRO2025, the 10-year results of the FAST-Forward #ClinicalTrial were presented. The results confirmed 5-year findings showing that treating early stage #BreastCancer with #Radiotherapy to the breast & chest wall over 1-week is as safe and effective as the standard 3-week treatment.

CHHiP was originally published in 2016 and results changed the way people received #ProstateRadiotherapy in the NHS. People now have fewer daily hospital visits for treatment.

Dr Nuria Porta was promoted to Career Faculty and awarded the title of Reader in September.
Nuria’s research focuses on statistical modelling dynamic biomarkers to assess response to treatment in cancer clinical trials.
