I’m writing a “little” fic called Chains of Light and Shadow - where Melkor’s obsession goes beyond the Silmarils to a certain she-elf, Lady Artanis. One Mairon will have to deal with in Angband.

It’s dark, messy, and might not unfold the way you’d expect 👀
