Because they have this weird superiority complex connected to their OS of choice. I use arch and MacOS daily but I would never push anyone else to use the same, it’s just the workflow that works for me

Yeah like I mentioned bazzite is also a great choice! For me it boils down to not preferring atomic distros (I use arch btw lol) but bazzite is fantastic for easy setup gaming systems!

Then I’d recommend nobara, especially if you have an nVidia card. Will save you the hassle of learning how to handle their proprietary driver blobs

Both mint and Zorin fall under the Debian umbrella.

Also what distro you should use obviously depends on use case, if gaming is in the cards I’d recommend nobara (fedora with gaming tweaks) or bazzite (also fedora but atomic, basically you can’t break it)

I’d recommend fedora if you want something stable but not too outdated.

Debian based is great if you want to focus on stability and don’t care about outdated packages

Yeah honestly twitters biggest downfall was forcing content you’re not interested in down your throat, especially when 90% of it was blatant ads
