Picture of a WW2 british infantry miniature whose weapon (originally a thompson submachine gun) has been "kitbashed" - combined with other guns of parts from other kits - to create a crude bullpup assault rifle with a reflex sight: a bren gun magazine has been attached to the stock, the forestock has been replaced with that of a dieselpunk submachine gun with underslung grenade launcher to approximate the characteristic ribbed grip of the EM-2, a space marine bolt rifle scope cut down to create the scope has been placed on top of that, and the barrel has been replaced with part of the forestock of a lee-enfield rifle with a bayonet attached. The model itself is wearing a beret-like "general service" cap

A squad of five Sternguard Veterans from Warhammer 40k - elite transhuman infantry wearing power armour painted in the green and black livery of the Salamanders chapter. One carries a gyrojet "bolt" rifle; two carry combi-meltas (anti-tank heat rays each with an underslung bolt rifle); one carries a double-barreled "pyrecannon" flamethrower; and the squad leader has a bolt rifle, a drawn bolt pistol, a power sword with an orange blade, and an older style of helmet with a Darth Vader-esque scowling mouth grille. Brown leather aprons (intended to resemble medieval tabards), golden wreaths and crosses, and a variety of holy relics and wax sealed parchments decorate their armour. The pyrecannon gunner and one of the combi-melta gunners are not wearing helmets, revealing the trademark coal black skin and red eyes of the Salamanders - the combi-melta gunner has dyed red hair and is yelling, while the flame trooper has a bald, scarred head and a rebreather.

The model is holding a "boltgun" gyrojet battle rifle and has parchment dangling over its hand, which is supposed to be from a wax "purity seal" attached to the rifle. However, because I swapped the rifle meant to be attached to this specific pair of arms for another, the parchment is instead cut off at the top and seemingly dangling from nothing in front of the marine's hand.

Not really? If you look at the full thing Control's cover is an action pose. The Old Skies character is just holding a stopwatch up to the viewer with her fingers raised so it's visible
