Terry Pratchett’s Night Watch, because it was the first of his I ever read and I immediately fell in love with his writing and had to read all of his works and The Sand County Almanac by Aldo Leopold because it made me realize that science and nature writing could be beautiful and poetic too.

1. Surprise observation by all my admin on a full moon day & the students are *rowdy*

2. People are mad and/or disappointed in me & are explaining why in excruciating detail

3. IBS flair up while out in public & there are no restrooms
