May all of your (band) practises be "gross and flagitious"
I can recommend Isaac B Sharp's "The Other Evangelicals", about varieties of evangelicalism that support women's rights, or social justice, or LGBTQ+ believers. As a long-time evangelical, I found it surprising and hopeful and also discouraging (because the broader movement shuns that stuff fast)

As a book nerd, the library was my natural habitat. I snagged work-study in college, then after graduation got a part-time position at the local public library. A friend working on certification as a school media specialist pointed me to a nearby MLS program, and the rest is thirty happy years now.
