Last month, we participated in the Annual meeting of the Spanish Paleontological Society in Aracena (Huelva).
It is always great being part of this meeting, sharing our research and seeing some Spanish colleagues! See you next year!

We have a new Doctor in the group!! Dr. Giraldo-Villegas has successfully passed his viva today!! Congrats to the new doctor and supervisors!!

Part of the group enjoyed an amazing week attending the IAS meeting in Huelva, with a great and productive ichnological session, and an interesting fieldtrip to the unique Tinto River.

Organising the 18th International Ichnofabric Workshop was a long way, but it was fascinating hosting friends in our city, sharing science and doing some leisure activities as well.
It is always nice to meet this community and we are proud to be part of this.

On saturday we finished the 18th IIW with the second day of the post-meeting fieldtrip, visiting amazing shallow marine outcrops from Almería province (SE Spain).

First and warm day of the post-meeting fieldtrip visiting Tabernas basin, looking for trace fossils in turbidite deposits...

Last day of the 18th IIW with excellent contributions and the closing dinner with one of the best views you could ever have.
But this haven't finished, time for the post-meeting fieldtrip.

First day is over. A productive day with nice talks, posters and discussions. Now, time for an icebraking and tomorrow more!

Some weeks ago we had the opportunity to give a workshop about trace fossils for some colleagues from ENI, in Milan. It is always great to share our knowledge with people from industry and learning from them!!
