I want to put into perspective how this POSITIVELY affects someone like me.

My laptop can play DX11 games on 720p/Low and indie titles at 1080p/high.

#XFSE, makes it so that I can bump up to 720p/MED or HIGH on DX11 games. (GTX960m doesn't have DLSS or FSR). The resource savings makes a diff.

It's how Xbox is meeting people WHERE THEY ARE with the devices they ALREADY own. I'm considering installing #XFSE on my Gaming PC at home too. I still play my Series X; and the Series S is on the road with me in my truck. I use the Xbox PC app to remotely connect & play my 360/OGX games!

My laptop is NOT an "Xbox Series Console", but it is NOW a type of Xbox ('Xbox PC Laptop', if you will).

That's what I desired and that's what Xbox and Windows allows me to do now. I feel that installing #XFSE on my low-end laptop shows a glimpse of the future of the "Xbox" ecosystem.

For YEARS I've been trying to get my laptop to be more like my Xbox. Well today I turned my Surface Book 1 into an Xbox via the "Xbox Full Screen Experience".

I can see both of points of view on whether Xbox Ally/X is or isn't an "Xbox". Where I stand is:

People are gonna take this article and try to make something out of it, when they've allowed retail Xboxen to be dev kits for years.

That looks Glorious. I truly wish the price point was a bit lower. I just built a mid-range gaming PC 2 years ago....I should've waited because now, I'm barely home to touch the darn thing, and a portable handheld PC would make it so much easier to pick up and play in between my truck driving job.

E.G. - a big DLC or overhaul/update of the game to coincide with the release on other platforms.

Think about it.....we (including Xbox players) "ALL win", if/when this happens. DON'T be upset, be ecstatic that they are still supporting the game!

We have enjoyed Starfield for years. Even if you're divided on the DLC, the fact remains; they will NOT release this on PS5 without putting their best foot forward.

I will be back to XGPUltimate at some point in the future. However this price increase makes me wonder if there is internal conflict between Xbox & parent company MSFT.

I HIGHLY doubt that Sarah Bond & Xbox wanted to go up on prices. This has got to be downward pressure from the parent company!

So on so forth... Naturally playing four games across 180mins means it is not evenly distributed. Four games a month was within my power. Now I'd have to play 8 games per month to justify the new cost.
