This is misinformation. Miyamoto being against Rosalina is heavily exaggerated, he didn't push for her to not be included, he was open minded to the younger Koizumi. Secondly, Tanabe, the guy in charge of PM, decided to scrap the partners and the battle system of the old PM games, not Miyamoto.

I think this source is questionable, as it doesn't say how the interview was done nor how this came up. and a lot of things don't add up.
