so basically you need something like this, with a copy of the game that will run from the USB, and then maybe a USB key that has USB-A for PC and USB-C for Mac?

it is standardised, however the banner is different per region, so for NA, white box with blue text up the top, which has an English only or English + French version. With the white banner up the top, while in Aus it has a smaller block with yellow text.

researching it, I think it lets you play on a machine that is not your primary offline. This is the existing chart and the catch is you can only play offline on your "primary" console. while putting this new cart system means you can move the game to it "exactly as if it was a cart" i.e offline too?
