Ozzy has such a cute face! And sweet Crosby, yes, she's missed. This week I discovered Carl Sagan Cat loves going for a ride on the office chair. He was like a little kid saying, "Do it again, Mom!" So, we did it again. And again. And again. It's good to be Carl. 😄

Carl Sagan Cat looks forward to his favorite autumn treat, small ornamental pepper plants. They are not spicy and it's possible he just enjoys crunching on them. He gets so excited when they enter the house. 😄

He's kind of an older guy so he doesn't get up on the fridge as often as he used to, but Carl Sagan Cat made the leap and had some fun with magnets.

Welp. I admit this was hard to do. I'm a huge Marvel and Star Wars nerd. It had to be done, though.
The image is of the reason section after cancelling Disney+. The reason is "other" and says, "Your decision to suspend Jimmy Kimmel was on the biggest acts of cowardice and avarice I've ever seen. Stand up to authoritarianism." The image is simply the confirmation message that the Disney+ subscription has been cancelled.

Carl Sagan Cat received a box of Halloween gifts from a couple of his friends this week. Yes, he's that popular. I've learned to live with it. 😀
Carl Sagan Cat, an extremely handsome orange boy, sits among an explosion of wrapping and tissue paper. There is a small toy kitten skeleton lying atop the paper. This is essentially just a blur of an orange cat on his hand feet swatting aggressively at a black plastic flower with his front paws. Still, the cat is clearly remarkable.

Just got my copy of the new book by @johnfugelsang.bsky.social. I'm a secular humanist once very active in my state and know first-hand the kind of abuse fundamentalist Christians can inflict. I had a couple of nice interactions with Mr. Fugelsang when I was on Twitter and look forward to this read.

Carl Sagan Cat yelled at me from his pedestal and when I went over to see what he wanted, he leaped onto my back. I spun around a couple times, he continued yelling and after he was dislodged, we sat on separate couches looking at each other suspiciously I still have no idea what this was about.

Carl Sagan Cat enjoyed two of his favorite spots this week. One is on the breezeway floor where he goes every late afternoon or evening to indicate he's ready for his snack. The other is the bathroom sink where he enjoys washing that snack down with a cool drink.

Carl Sagan Cat enjoyed flowers and candy this week. He is allowed to eat the roses but not the candy. He enjoys the smell of the peppermints but mostly just plays with them. In other news, we thought we had two groundhog neighbors, but we spotted three. Now we have no idea how many there really are.

Carl Sagan Cat hung out with his namesake this week. He likes this perch as it is the highest point in the house he can get up on. Also, a groundhog moved in under the backyard shed and I named it Chubs before I knew she was pregnant. Now Carl gets to watch Mama Chubs and Junior every day. Win-Win.

Thought of you and your girl when I saw this restaurant sign in Iowa. Orange was kind of a theme this week, especially at my place where an entire pile of orange pillows brought a little excitement. One was a little grumpy, but Carl Sagan Cat is handsome, so I tend to overlook his flaws.

Carl Sagan Cat loves to lick his brush then have it brushed across his cheeks. It is an obsession, and he knocks the brush off the end table to let me know he needs his fix. Happy to oblige.
