Pretty sure these are wood ear (or jelly ear depending on what you call them) but would love a second person’s confirmation with mushroom ID’ing experience before I try powdering them for added flavor in soup stocks. #fungifriends

Side quest added, learning Blender’s sculpt features. Pretty stoked actually with how well this has turned out so far, definitely motivating.

It has been SOOOO much fun! There’s a ton of beautiful sights and colorful characters here! Last night was just night one, today at 1pm the Dealer’s Den opens and my poor abused wallet is not prepared 😭

I’m looking at this thing go and I’m actually in awe at how well such a janky looking scuffed idea worked lmfao, I may have failed structural engineering school but you can’t say I’m the worst there is at the subject.

Supports failing on the late end of a print you don’t have time to start again? Couldn’t be a more simple solution, just fire up your hot glue gun and add some manual support structure mid print! 😂

The vacuum former holds a seal and looks like it will work! As for the new faceplate… it already failed once. Turns out you should really be thinking about support structure optimization when making something that big. I added some manual supports, and it (hopefully) has no issues now. Low on time!❄️

Whew, I was really nervous about designing a new face plate for an M16 mk3 back plate. The channels are for holding flexible neon light mimicking LED strips, it’ll be a static expression but that’s fine. I’ve not seen anyone else use them for a Proto suit, so I might be the first to try! ❄️

Whew, I was really nervous about designing a new face plate for an M16 mk3 back plate. The channels are for holding flexible neon light mimicking LED strips, it’ll be a static expression but that’s fine. I’ve not seen anyone else use them for a Proto suit, so I might be the first to try! ❄️
So, about that suit head. One of the key components I’m missing is a tinted visor. I have thermoplastic sheets and compatible dye, so as of now the hang up is building a thermoplastic vacuum former to stretch the plastic uniformly over a buck shaped like the visor. Currently puzzling that one out!

Spent some time last night learning from the master, my grandmother. This project’s been a ton of fun! I’ve actually really enjoyed modeling foam and learning to sew!

Fur swatches came in yesterday, all in all I ordered five yards of fur in a few colors. Last time shipping was pretty quick, let’s hope that’s the case with this order too. We’re uhh… kinda running on less than borrowed time at this point… 😅
