And now I finally got around to doing the second snail, with references this time!

Today's art done without reference is a little snail! And it made me feel that when I do the referenced one, the shell should be a focus, because that's what I most felt I didn't know.

And now a robin with references! I was surprised at how boxy their heads are.and how stumpy their legs can be.

And this time I attempted to make a robin from memory.

A fish with reference this time! I was trying to find references for herring. I think I made it fatter than any of the references but that's fine!

A fish with no references. And so it's more of a design because I couldn't think of any specific fish design. so I basically designed a fish.

And today's semi daily doodle is a toad with references! Tomorrow what will I try with no refs? I have no idea.

Kitchen Knife 2
Specifically a chef's knife. Which I learned today (I had a different image in my mind with those words). This is the specific knife that my favourite knife is.

Today's doodle is of a kitchen knife. For this one I tried to experiment with using the krita assistant tool for perspective, though it took a few attempts to get something usable. Also referenceless, because I figure that a pattern of "no reference vs. reference" for these doodles is interesting.

Yesterday I drew a duck with no references. In part because I felt that I had a clear idea of what a duck looks like even though I hadn't drawn ducks that much iirc. Today I repeat with references. With some very different feeling results.

I decided I need to try and force myself to draw more. This is a duck drawn without references. I'll probably do one WITH references tomorrow.
And.... I can already see a big mistake. ooops.
